There is boiling, great pressure in the spiritual realm manifesting in our natural lives, enough to keep us all running in circles and fighting seemingly continuous battles. Peace with God is a premium these days, and quite honestly, this shaking is Eternal and Forever.
These are days of PRESSURE, PERIL, PRESSING, AND CIRCUMCISION….we are being separated away from either the world or the Kingdom of God unto either the world or the Kingdom of God. The pretense of most American Christians seems to be that we will pass through this life, and this shaking, without pain and disappointment.
Honestly, the physical beheading and burning of our brethren in Moslem dominated regions are exactly what the spirit of antichrist is seeking to do to all of us: decapitate us from the Head, bring in confusion and aimlessness and disjointedness, and burn up our lives with nothingness.
I know the Church will not go through The Great Tribulation, but in reality, American Christians have rapture-itis and have been groomed by cultural assumptions that we will never go through any tribulation.
Evidently the martyrdom of many sincere Christians, loved just as much by God as any of us, is not The Great Tribulation. Our brethren are no less loved by the Lord than are we, and the number of those who do not deny the testimony of Jesus Christ, even unto death, is being fulfilled.
I see a number of things looming on the horizon, along with REVIVAL….but God.
I honestly believe there is hope for an American turnaround, due to a number of things the Lord has spoken to me down through the years…but oh, the price we will pay! Our nation is a very big ship, not a motorboat….The United States (no longer united) must be turned slowly. More importantly, the Church in America must repent of complacency and blindness…we must press into God in our sorrows and not be dishonest with our hearts before ourselves or Him.
We must not use our pains and sorrows and disappointments as excuses for situational disobedience to the Lord…if our humanity could only embrace the Truth as readily as we do perpetual victimhood. It seems we are all flawed to believe our circumstances of life are fatally exclusive, and that somehow we are beyond God’s ways.
This must be a common bond of mankind.
The sorrows of life affect people differently, but wounds go to the core of the soul. The compass of such depth is universal….we all know the darkness and brokenness of this world.
WE ARE ALL BEING BROKEN.
The choice in our dilemma of pain is either great bitterness of soul or great vulnerability to the loving Arms of our Heavenly Father.
It is a process of purging and agony as the wounded soul fears healing…..to add injury to injury, broken hearts running from healing make terrible messes.
SADLY, HORRIBLY, MANY CHRISTIANS ARE HARDENING THEIR HEARTS AND DETACHING FROM JESUS UNDER THE PRESSURE OF THIS PRESENT DARKNESS!
I wonder what each of us will learn in the Presence of God when we are departed from this stage of life, upon which we are all so bound , and the Fire of His Holiness consumes the wood, hay, and stubble of our theatre persona?
Vulnerability is often seen as humiliation….how sorrowfully man seems doomed to equate the devouring beasts of the darkness with the Love of the One Who gave His all for us! We run until we have nowhere to run, fleeing from the chaos of the abyss within….with our back against the wall of nowhere left to run, we usually still resist His Love as some alien invasion.
Jesus is very patient. Stop running. Trust. We all know we are wrong inside anyway and it is vulgar to hold to destruction when His Light shines ever so brightly.
Coming back Home, like a little child, is the only way to come….
THESE DAYS WE ARE ALL EITHER RUNNING TO JESUS OR AWAY FROM HIM…..
So, IF WE CHOOSE TO BE persistent, pressing, dependent, focused, desperate children, we must draw closer to the only Peace this world has ever and will ever know, the Prince of Peace. I remember days when many prayed day and night in worship and supplication…..the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so necessary in our walk with Jesus in this present darkness.
Sadly, many folks who the Lord prepared for these days no longer seem to want His Power and Glory.
In the midst of this PRESSING, we must press in to Him and Him alone. The following passage of Scripture is now a list of formerly eschewed characteristics that are now cultural norms and mores both in the society and much of the Church,
2 Timothy 3:1-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)
But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].
2 For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.
3 [They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.
4 [They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.
5 For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].
Yes, we face wars and rumors of war, very uncertain economic times, so graciously created by our government, and a great many vexing things that spell PERIL in other words. The greatest PERIL, however, is the delusion and complacency caused by the anti-Christ spirit or more accurately “Substitution Christ” or pseudo-Christ spirit.
The stubbornness and centeredness on self and about self is the direct influence of antichrist.
The greatest opposition we face other than within, is living in a world of manimals who have given themselves over to a reprobate mind and live and act as mere brute beasts…
….THE WEB OF TEMPATION THE GOD OF THIS WORLD, SATAN, WEAVES TOWARDS US IS THE LIE THEIR’S IS A NORMAL LIFE AND OURS IS NOT. YES, THEIR LIFE IS NORMAL IF YOU ARE HELLBOUND AND WITHOUT HOPE AND DON’T CARE!
RUN AS HARD AS YOU KNOW HOW TO THE THRONE OF GRACE AND KEEP YOUR HEART AND MIND STAYED ON HIM!
This spirit produces blasphemy centered on self, based on the rebellion of Satan, all the “I will’s” in Isaiah 14,
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Fall of Lucifer
12 “How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
Any demand of common Christian obedience, even gathering for worship, is seen as a drain, and something to be resented and frowned upon. The cover word is to call common Christian obedience “legalism”.
THE PROTECTIVE AND DEFENSIVE RESPONSE TO THE THREAT OF THE REALITY OF PERSECUTION AND TROUBLE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE HAS TURNED INTO A CRITICAL DISSECTION OF WHATEVER APPEARS TO PLACE “ONE MORE ‘UNECESSARY’ PRESSURE” ON THOSE BEING WORN OUT BY THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST.
This leaven is spiritual situational ethics.
The demand to protect oneself usually results in complacency and apathy, a confused stupor, AND a profound demand for false peace, peace, peace at any price. The focus of Satan and the conniving PERIL facing us is the deception of the endless chasm of nothing, and aligning oneself with the preacher/teacher who most convincingly comforts one with the notion that nothing is the will of God.
A pastor friend of mine sent the following to me,
“I am personally fed up with the way our world is heading and am going to do anything I can to help it. I am going to do what I can, when I can, and do it every chance I can. Starting now. The word for the day is Apathy, its definition is lack of interest, lack of enthusiasm, or a total lack of concern. This describes most of us and is the reason America is in the shape we are in. We will tolerate anything, even when it harms us and our family. We need to grow a backbone and become the men and women we are called to be. I would like to share two quotes, (1) We may have found a cure for most evils, but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all-the apathy of human beings. Helen Keller. (2) The world is a dangerous place to live ; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it. Albert Einstein.”—Pastor J.C.
Succinctly, this quote from my friend is the essence of the PERIL we face….we are all being separated, but from what and to what? That choice is ours. We must realize that the closer we get to the End the narrower and steeper the path becomes…it is not time to back off but to press in and to push out towards the Lord in every way we know how. It is not time to do less….
WE MUST FOCUS/FIX OUR GAZE ON JESUS AND REALIZE WE ARE EITHER BEING SEPARATED FROM HIM UNTO THE WORLD, OR BEING DELIVERED FROM THE WORLD UNTO JESUS!
….dear Lord, my generation are an aging breed. When we came into this Walk in the 70’s and 80’s, there were older saints there willing to bear us into maturity, to pray for us, to help deliver us, to labor until Christ was formed in us.
NO, THEY WEREN’T PERFECT, AND NEITHER ARE WE, BUT WE CAN BE WILLING AND OBEDIENT.
Now pastors are receiving a new harvest of young folks much more challenged and messed up than were most of us when we were trying to come out of this insane world. Most of the seasoned laborers and spiritual moms and dads are just not there after God has prepared them for a lifetime.
Where are the folks who have been saved and filled with the Holy Spirit for decades?
There were those waiting to serve us who, for the joy set before them, gave themselves so freely to our young lives….so many of us, instead of standing on their shoulders, for the sake of the next generation (as they did) have stepped out of our places before the Lord.
A subsequent huge vacuum of experienced Believers is hindering the Church. God gave me this next Scripture the week after I was saved, June 24th, 1977,
New King James Version (NKJV)
8 As we have heard,
So we have seen
In the city of the Lord of hosts,
In the city of our God:
God will establish it forever. Selah
9 We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness,
In the midst of Your temple.
10 According to Your name, O God,
So is Your praise to the ends of the earth;
Your right hand is full of righteousness.
11 Let Mount Zion rejoice,
Let the daughters of Judah be glad,
Because of Your judgments.
12 Walk about Zion,
And go all around her.
Count her towers;
13 Mark well her bulwarks;
Consider her palaces;
That you may tell it to the generation following.
14 For this is God,
Our God forever and ever;
He will be our guide
Even to death .
We need to get it in our heads and deep down in our souls that our purpose here as Christians is to love Him and to learn God’s Ways and about His Kingdom to impart this to those who come after us, and that the Lord will carry us and guide us until our work is done and we are with Him.
I don’t function well in my life in any arena unless I am freely giving what I have freely received.
It is the way God’s Plan for each of us works, and we remain powerless and half-delivered from a lack of doing and giving…..quite honestly, we get it as we give and do. This is a spiritual activation.
SO WHILE WE ARE CIRCLING THE CAMP OF OUR SELF-LIFE, THE CHURCH IS BLEEDING OUT AND WE ARE BLEEDING IN……
Now the Church is under great assault all over the earth and here in America the Body is hobbled by a dearth of seasoned saints who are confused and worn out by the spirit of pseudochrist: it appears that procrastination and mediocrity are new Christian virtues, and that excellence and self-sacrifice are just “religious works” no one wants or has to do anymore.
I recently watched a teaching series, well-packaged, by a very well known pastor of one of the largest churches in America….the following Scripture was the main text of the session I watched with a class of a few adults and several older students,
New King James Version (NKJV)
Take Up the Cross and Follow Him
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
Right off the bat, this teacher told a huge congregation and millions of those watching not to worry about “taking up your Cross”, that “none of you will ever have to do any of that stuff”….I waited for the short teaching to end, the rest of it tolerable. I then told the class that “preacher” had sold his church folks out by saying that, and all of had to know that one day our faith in Jesus could cost us our lives.
A lively discussion emerged.
My deal in this day of great spiritual PERIL is what won’t people say to produce FALSE PEACE in God’s people who need to prepare and not stumble at Jesus Christ in hard times?
WE MUST REMEMBER THIS ADMONITION OF SCRIPTURE…..
New King James Version (NKJV)
32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
As humans, we need favor and acceptance and enjoy having a seat of authority. Through Jesus Christ, God gave believers favor, acceptance, and authority. One of the most deceptive and troubling things for me in the Body of Christ is that people draw doctrine, not from the well of the Word of God and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, but from the souls of those with whom they have found favor, acceptance, and authority.
This can be a good thing, ordained by God, and secure; this can also be a snare of what is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
The power of the group is well documented, and well as the power to want to please those who are good to you.
There is no new teaching, nothing new under the sun. Beware that you do not forget the Holy Spirit is always pointing to Jesus and everything about Him. The days are short and the devil is wroth, trying to take as many down as possible. Jesus is the center of our lives.
The Great Deceiver seeks to do this with false brethren and false teaching.
There has never been a greater need to keep our lamps full, our wicks trimmed, and to be prepared. Many that God has called are being hoodwinked to believe the Lord’s Return is far off and that He will not actually “return” to the earth in physical form.
If the physical return of Jesus Christ to this earth is not true, then God is a liar, and He is not.
2 John 1:7-8
New King James Version (NKJV)
7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward.
HE DID COME IN THE FLESH, HE WAS WITH US IN THE FLESH, HE WILL RETURN IN THE FLESH…….
1 John 4:1-3
New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
New King James Version (NKJ)
1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, 3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?
This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
THE LITERAL PHYSICAL JESUS IS COMING BACK JUST LIKE HE WENT AWAY….
BEWARE, FOR WE ARE IN THE LAST DAYS. READ THE BOOKS OF JUDE, 2 PETER, AND 2 TIMOTHY…..GET READY TO RUN FOR THE LORD.
I believe strongly this terminal complacency and departure from basic Christian virtues is due in part to the loss of the mindset of imminency among Christians….this belief–that Jesus could return at any time with no precondition, that His Return is imminent–was commonly held in the early Church. This seems to have been disposed of, along with a healthy respect for and Godly fear of displeasing the Lord.
I fear the over-response to “Rapture-itis”, with its lack of action and belief no trouble will ever come to us here in America, has morphed into religiously-veiled unbelief and intellectual puffed-uppedness masquerading as “rational” doctrine. Arrogance and superiority and haughtiness and mockery are not fruits of good Bible doctrine. Good men and women of God seem to be knuckling down to something less than pressing toward the mark of the High Calling in Christ Jesus.
If your “doctrine” makes you mean and better-than-thou you might want to do a heart check (and a Word check, away from the siren call of your latest substitutionary high priest). The Word is plain; don’t complicate your spiritual life by trying to redefine truth.
One of our biggest hurdles is the inner demand to be more “spiritual” and “saved” than other Believers….the need for exclusivism and superiority. We are so bound to it, without the revelation of Grace, we fancy ourselves higher life forms, forgetting the pit from which we were dug. The pride of man dictates that without submission to the humility of Jesus Christ and a true hunger for righteousness, we must strive for whose doctrinal gun is the biggest.
THEREIN LIES MUCH OF THE SOURCE OF ALL ERROR.
God have mercy on us babies and wannabe experts who are playing with dynamite. We do love our idols, our substitutions for God. We do stumble and if we like the ditch into which we have fallen, seem bound to draw others in as well.
Idolatry is an abomination because we are to have no other gods before the Lord…..all idolatry is an abomination. There is however, mentioned in the Bible both in Daniel 9:27 and quoted by Jesus, in Matthew 24:15, a supremely evil idolatry called “The Abomination of Desolation”
Abomination is defined as a thing that causes disgust or hatred: this word is synonymous with atrocity, disgrace, horror, obscenity, outrage, evil, crime, monstrosity, anathema, bane. That is how God feels about being replaced with an idol….it is an abominable abomination.
Desolation is defined as a state of complete emptiness or destruction; it is synonymous with bleakness, starkness, barrenness, sterility, wildness, isolation, loneliness, and remoteness….
….this abomination of desolation is an idolatry so hideous, it produces complete emptiness and destruction.
The Holiest place on earth, before Jesus came, was the Holy of Holies in the Temple at Jerusalem, the dwelling place of the very Presence of God. There was the Ark of the Covenant housed. Only one high priest went in once a year after great ceremonial cleansing, and then in great fear and trembling.
Antiochus Epiphanes was a Syrian general who thought to destroy Judaism….he outlawed all things Jewish: reading the Torah or circumcising a baby boy was punishable by death. He had a pig sacrificed upon the great altar in the Temple. The last straw came in 168 BC on his birthday, when Antiochus had an image of Zeus erected in the Holy of Holies…thus began the Maccabean revolt that lasted for three years. The celebration of the overthrow of this wicked man and the restoration of the Temple is now celebrated as Hanukkah.
Antiochus Epiphanes was a foreshadowing of the man of sin, the antichrist, who will erect his own image in the Holy of Holies in the rebuilt Temple, which will begin The Great Tribulation, the last three and one-half years of the 70th week of Daniel’s Vision.
This testifies the Temple will indeed be rebuilt.
My point in this short history lesson is this–in the Church Age, each true Christian is the Holy of Holies; we are the Ark of the Covenant in this dispensation: we bear the manifested Presence of God.
2 Corinthians 2:14-16
New King James Version (NKJV)14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things?
Through the Blood of Jesus Christ, He is no longer God with us, but Christ in us!
New King James Version (NKJV)
24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
BELIEVE IT: Through the Blood of Jesus, we are in indwelt by God Himself……I tremble as I write, for I believe we Americans have acculturated idolatrous opposition to the Holiness of God in our very concept of self and nation. There is a widening gap between our social consciousness and the Truth of God’s Plan through Jesus Christ.
This desolation is terminal and the vacuum is not being filled with a heartfelt return to the Lord, but with either rabid anti-Christian polemics or “adaptive theology” that is nothing more than vapid, saltless, soul-stealing, End Time, demonic twists and turns whirling into non-existence. Such teaching appeals to the intellect of man and our sensual demand for an earthly heaven.
Lot knew this deathly compromise in Sodom.
We are God’s Temple in the Church Age….my God we have defiled His Temple with other gods!
THE NUMBER ONE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION IS THE GOD OF “ME”…….DOING WHAT ONE WANTS AND CALLING IT THE WILL OF GOD. Please read all of I Samuel 12, a grand study in witchcraft and idolatry, but here is the money shot concerning King Saul,
1 Samuel 15:22-23
New King James Version (NKJV)22 So Samuel said:
“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
As in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
And to heed than the fat of rams.
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king.”
WELCOME TO AMERICA.
Great wickedness is soon to manifest in our country, more than we could believe possible.
God is trying to warn His church! There is about to be evil walking strongly on this land and if we are attached to evil it will destroy us.
WE MUST RETREAT FROM SPIRITUAL CYANIDE!
May God oppose the gurus of self who pollute the rivers of living water with the cyanide of presumed God-sanctioned nothingness.
Besides the complacency-chasm of spiritual deception and peril the American church is dangling over, all that can be shaken will be shaken to the foundations of the earth so that what is eternal can be perceived…..
THE VERY EARTH IS SHAKEN BY THE ACTIONS OR LACK THEREOF BY HER INHABITANTS:
New King James Version (NKJV)
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
We are all groaning and travailing and laboring and really don’t understand why all that can be shaken must be shaken….
2 Peter 3:11-12a
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God…..
EVIDENTLY OUR OBEDIENCE SPEEDS UP GOD’S PLANS….WHAT DOES OUR DISOBEDIENCE IMPLY?
THE EARTH VIOLENTLY REACTS TO THE SIN OF HER INHABITANTS WHEN A CERTAIN LEVEL OF REBELLION IS REACHED…THE VERY CREATION VOMITS OFF THOSE WHO POLLUTE IT:
Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 You shall not give any of your children to pass through the fire and sacrifice them to Molech [the fire god], nor shall you profane the name of your God [by giving it to false gods]. I am the Lord.
22 You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.
23 Neither shall you lie with any beast and defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman yield herself to a beast to lie with it; it is confusion, perversion, and degradedly carnal.
24 Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, for in all these things the nations are defiled which I am casting out before you.
25 And the land is defiled; therefore I visit the iniquity of it upon it, and the land itself vomits out her inhabitants.
26 So you shall keep My statutes and My ordinances and shall not commit any of these abominations, neither the native-born nor any stranger who sojourns among you,
27 For all these abominations have the men of the land done who were before you, and the land is defiled—
28 [Do none of these things] lest the land spew (vomit) you out when you defile it as it spewed (vomited) out the nation that was before you.
MAN’S REBELLION CAUSES DROUGHT AND DISRUPTS NATURE:
Amplified Bible (AMP)
6 God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
King James Version (KJV)
10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
Amplified Bible (AMP)
4 Hear the word of the Lord, you children of Israel, for the Lord has a controversy (a pleading contention) with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no faithfulness, love, pity and mercy, or knowledge of God [from personal experience with Him] in the land.
2 There is nothing but [false] swearing and breaking faith and killing and stealing and committing adultery; they break out [into violence], one [deed of] bloodshed following close on another.
3 Therefore shall the land [continually] mourn, and all who dwell in it shall languish, together with the wild beasts of the open country and the birds of the heavens; yes, the fishes of the sea also shall [perish because of the drought] be collected and taken away.
What we do on the earth affects the creation….it is an amazing thing. Get out a map of the earth and look at the deserts and their location…..wow! Consider the culture and belief systems of the desert places on earth. The Word is true.
Since Thanksgiving and before I have been seeing the word “meteor” in the spirit, as well as “cataclysm”, and bizarre HUGE storms along with other peculiar things in nature……I know the great plates in the earth are going to move under our nation, and that heretofore unseen tides will affect our coasts. I have had dreams of earthquakes in which every house in neighborhoods were torn, except those of Christians.
Even now our government seems to aid and abet Moslems in every way resulting in horrible plans against Jews and Christians. The Prince of Persia has once again arisen to destroy God’s people and Michael, God’s Prince over Israel, has come to bear to stand up….
Saints, this is going to be quite a year.
I WEEP and hope for mercy….
The great gangrene and treason in our government has planted a fifth column inside our nation and will will cause fragmentation and anarchy in the culture we have never seen…. but God is about to laugh at this foolishness and wickedness, then this house of cards will collapse. That collapse must be the Church’s finest hour, but in our present opiate of denial and self-service, I wonder if, indeed, She may not fragment into splinters of waves of doctrine and gated communities?
The government funded and sanctioned church is certainly under construction as we speak.
The church of man will persecute The Church.
So, my fellow Christian, what are we do in these Latter Times in which we live? It is so readily apparent we are in the Baptism of Fire of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Okefenokee Swamp is about 80 miles south of here and is one of the world’s five largest swamps….it also sits on top of one of the largest underground rivers in the world. The name of the swamp is Native American for “the land of the trembling earth”.
Several years ago, we had one of the severest droughts on record….the Summer heat in Georgia is insufferable without rain. The rotted floor of the swamp dried out to a great depth, considering the abnormally high water table: two rivers originate out of this natural wonder.
The great swamp caught on fire through dry lightning…..it burned for months….it was burning up to 16 feet deep. Stifling smoke was over our area, even though it was nearly 100 miles away…..amazing that sitting over that great underground river was a huge pyre of dried and rotted peat many feet thick.
Georgia often has hurricanes sweep by our coast, whipping up great inland winds with no rain….it was hurricane season. A very nervous forestry ranger confided in me that if a hurricane came near Georgia, the whole Southern part of the state would go up in flames and nothing could stop it.
Every church I was involved with began to pray for rain.
That whole time we smelled smoke, the smell of fire, continuously day and night…..it was often like fog, and I drove a lot; at times it was stifling, along with the heat. Knowing a little about the geology of the swamp, I found it amazing that fire was burning deep in the rot above an immeasurable resource of pure water….it was astounding.
The “land that trembled” was also the “land that was burning deep”. I even prayed that God would cause the fountains of the deep to leap upward to quench the flames. I saw grown men who were professionals in great fear about the potential for destruction…..
….MERCIFULLY, SOAKING RAINS CAME AND PUT OUT THE DEEP FIRE!
I heard some disturbing things in my spirit during that time about the sacrifice being salted with fire….you see, the Scripture is important. John the Baptist told his followers he was not the Messiah, but there was One coming after him Who Baptized with the Holy Spirit and Fire….
Amplified Bible (AMP)
3 In those days there appeared John the Baptist, preaching in the Wilderness (Desert) of Judea
2 And saying, Repent (think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 This is he who was mentioned by the prophet Isaiah when he said, The voice of one crying in the wilderness (shouting in the desert), Prepare the road for the Lord, make His highways straight (level, direct).
4 This same John’s garments were made of camel’s hair, and he wore a leather girdle about his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then Jerusalem and all Judea and all the country round about the Jordan went out to him;
6 And they were baptized in the Jordan by him, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for baptism, he said to them, You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee and escape from the wrath and indignation [of God against disobedience] that is coming?
8 Bring forth fruit that is consistent with repentance [let your lives prove your change of heart];
9 And do not presume to say to yourselves, We have Abraham for our forefather; for I tell you, God is able to raise up descendants for Abraham from these stones!
10 And already the ax is lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you in (with) water because of repentance [that is, because of your changing your minds for the better, heartily amending your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins]. But He Who is coming after me is mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy or fit to take off or carry; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
12 His winnowing fan (shovel, fork) is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear out and clean His threshing floor and gather and store His wheat in His barn, but the chaff He will burn up with fire that cannot be put out.
America is about to become known as “the land that trembles” and the “land that is burning”. America was once the Gospel Capital of the whole earth, with many rivers running from us throughout the earth. Now the great rivers are forced underground and rot covers the surface of the rivers. GOD IS ABOUT TO BURN THE ROT OUT….I TREMBLE IN MY HEART.
THE PROBLEM WITH US NOW IS THAT GOD HAS MOVED AHEAD IN HIS PLAN….WE ARE CAMPED OUT AT A PLEASANT PLACE IN THE PAST WE WANT RESURRECTED. WE REALLY DON’T KNOW WHETHER GOD IS TRYING TO PURIFY US OR THE DEVIL IS TRYING TO KILL US!
Satan is trying to kill and neutralize all Christians with every form of destruction and deception.
The purifying Baptism of Fire of Jesus Christ is on us…we are at place of CIRCUMCISION, of cutting away. Oh that we would know this Day of Visitation! I wonder if Jesus weeps over America as He did over Jerusalem as He was entering the city for the last time before His Crucifixion?
The first mention of a CIRCUMCISION OF HEART in the Bible is in Deuteronomy 10 in the desert wanderings of the Israelites…part of their journey was from Gudgodah (a place of cutting and slashing) then to Jothbatha (a place of streams of running water): after that the Levites were separated and given no inheritance among the people.
God Himself was their portion. This is a time of CIRCUMCISION OF HEART, either to The Falling Away and great delusion, or to the Lord Jesus Himself. Will Jesus be your inheritance in the “land that trembles” and the “land that burns”?
New King James Version (NKJV)
4 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:
“So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest,’”
although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”
6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:
“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts.”
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Time for us all to run to the Throne of Grace, to allow the Word to divide us soul and spirit, and to obtain Mercy and find Grace to help in our time of need….these knees are made for bending, these heads for bowing, these hearts for submitting.
There is fresh oil and new wine and abundance of joy in His Presence….
The choice is very simple, Jesus Christ, and Him crucified, or antichrist crazy. Everyone on earth is going to serve somebody…
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Throne Room of Heaven
4 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”
2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. 3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald. 4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
11 “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”
The Lamb Takes the Scroll
5 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?” 3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.
4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. 5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”
6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.
Worthy Is the Lamb
8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying:
“Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”
14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever.
